In the second rainbow the colors are in reverse order. I've seen a triple rainbow in Flagstaff, AZ.

I've heard/read that whistles are/were used in the Canary Islands because it carries better than voice because of the volcanic rock(?). Haven't verified it (I read it back in the days when you could trust what you read, at least in the Weekly Reader

Yeah right. As if. We wish. Even if the whole world becomes corporatised, we will just replace nation-state warfare with corporate warfare. Played out as much as possible in countries other than where the corporate HQs are of course.

And W is still a vowel in them. Yes. That's why it dawned on me earlier in this thread. Was GF asing about words with no graphemic or phonemic vowels. That's why I mentioned clicks (link), nasals, and (af)fricatives. I'd consider tsk /|/, hmm /m:/,

I suggest the term "vericidal" (having the tendency of killing the truth). It even yields some Google hits, although I suspect this is due to misspellings..
